Vervolgens kook ik de groenten kort.
Daarna is het een kwestie van potten vullen en de weckketel aanzetten. Maar dat komt morgen pas, anders wordt het wel heeeel laat vanavond!
Canning is a labor intensive job. You need enough produce to make it worthwhile. It starts with picking, washing and cutting the vegetables. The next job is to sterilize the jars. First I wash them and after that I put them in the oven for a while. Next task is to boil the vegetables shortly.
After that you just have to fill the jars and put them in the electric Weck preserver (don't know what it's called in english) But that is going to happen tomorrow, because it's too late now!
Meanwhile I planted out leaks. I tried to grow them myself but failed again unfortunately. Lucky for me there's a grower with very good plants nearby;-)
